Meet Caleb Lenard
We’re excited to introduce Caleb Lenard as the new Director of Discipleship & Content Development at GRIT Ministries. In this role, Caleb will lead our efforts to equip coaches with gospel-centered resources and training that encourage discipleship both on and off the field.
Caleb is no stranger to the mission of GRIT. His father was an important supporter of GRIT’s ministry and a faithful presence in the local community, modeling a life of service and encouragement. That legacy of faith and investment in others is something Caleb carries with him, and it shines through in the way he equips leaders today. He hopes to use his experience as a collegiate athlete, high school football coach, and pastor to help GRIT proclaim the gospel in new and meaningful ways to coaches and the communities they serve.
Before joining GRIT, Caleb served for over four years as the Equipping Pastor at Grace Life Church in Ankeny, Iowa. He brings a strong background in biblical teaching and leadership development, holding a Doctor of Education in Ministry (DEdMin) in Applied Theology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies from Western Seminary.
In addition to his ministry work, Caleb hosts the Theology for the Church podcast, where he helps make theology accessible through practical conversations on church life and applied theology.
Caleb and his wife, Amelia, have been married for 11 years and are raising three wonderful children. Together, they share a passion for equipping the next generation of leaders to live out their faith in every area of life.
We feel blessed to have Caleb join the team, not only for his theological depth and leadership experience but also for his heart. He is stepping into GRIT’s mission to “coach coaches for Christ”, helping us create faithful content, resources, and discipleship tools that will encourage coaches to multiply their impact for the Kingdom.
We’re grateful for Caleb’s wisdom, passion, and deep-rooted love for the gospel, and we’re excited to see how God will use him to serve coaches and communities through GRIT.
