Two Athletes With A Vision inspired by their coaches

In 2022, Travis Labhart, a Texas A&M graduate and former Houston Texans NFL player, felt called to return to the sports world that shaped him. Growing up in Whitesboro, Texas, Travis experienced the life-changing influence of his coaches and wanted to give back. Similarly, Connor Nichols, a fellow Texas A&M graduate and entrepreneur, was inspired by his time as a multi-sport athlete in Celina, Texas, where coaches left a lasting impact on his life.

Together, they launched GRIT Ministries, Inc. to support coaches not just as leaders but as real people balancing the heavy demands of work, family, and community. GRIT helps coaches discover their true identity in Christ and pursue success that goes far beyond wins and losses.
